I haven't worked in many offices in my life. Actually, Pir is the very first office where I work every day for 9 hours. Before that, I was working part-time at all kinds of stuff ... so I don't really have an indication about whether what is normal behavior in an office, what is not.
But I can imagine let's say in China, that the daily conversation in an office between male and female colleagues will not be women's breasts, and most likely they won't talk about their manager wife's breasts neither in public nor in private.
Well here, it happens just too often without any offence to anyone. I actually find everything is usually discussed in a very environmental friendly and humoristic way.
The topic today in the office was somehow again plastic surgery, regarding breasts, about how do we know the difference between real and false.
In our office, every year we receive calendars with naked - ok, almost naked women - with underwear, bikini swimming suits or just g-string panties. Of course all these women on the calendar have very round, outstanding, and unbeatable breasts:
"It's not real" - the woman in the office say.
"You are jealous" - the man say.
"Look at me - this is real! It doesn't matter what push-up bra you wear, it has no chance to stand out that way permanently," - the woman say. "I guess you will know the difference only if you touch both and compare ... "
"You know what?" - the woman say, “Our manager just married a woman with boobs standing like these, we are positive she has silicon there ... he must know the difference, since he married other women in the past ...
"Right, our manager is always the expert, in all fields ... as usual ..."
...
I am trying to imagine how this conversation would sound like in an office in Beijing.
It took me several days and I couldn’t figure it out, until one morning, sitting on the toilet I realized that first of all, an i-Gaming company cannot exist in China due to the strict gambling law. Basically whoever deals with online gambling would be put into jail.
Besides, in a regular office, they will never receive a calendar with naked women on it to start with, due to the strict law against porn or porn-like products ...
I decided to show some of my Chinese friends this article and get an idea from them. About how this conversation could take place there.
You know what? I found out that "blogspot.com" is blocked by the Chinese government - they can't see my blog at all!

hey hey, very funny,
i was in china a wee bit of time, talking to chinese people. it is hard for me to imagine such talks. it's not about conservative it's about beeing chinese... i think in other fields they are much more free than israelis- in doing things after work, travel together or playing card in a free day, things that don't exist in israel at all (in general)
I agree, they seem to have more time to meet friends isn't it? But just not to talk about certain things ... lol
